This course will provide education through lectures, case discussion, audience question and answer, and hands-on experience with animal models and device simulators. The goal is to highlight best practice techniques across the broad spectrum of therapeutic and biliary endoscopy. Washington University Interventional Endoscopy Section faculty, as well as nationally known therapeutic endoscopists from peer institutions in North America, will serve as faculty with in-room commentary, lectures, hands-on session and facilitating discussion during and between lectures and case presentations.
This event will also include a fellow’s hands on session, aimed at third year GI fellows and advanced (fourth year) endoscopy fellows. Fellows will learn best practices for a wide range of advanced endoscopy topics and engage in hands on experience. There are a limited number of fellow travel awards available (maximum $700 per person) to help defray airfare and hotel expenses. Original receipts for travel must be submitted following the course for reimbursement. These travel awards will be awarded on a first-come basis.
This course may also be of interest to residents, fellows, physician associates, nurses, and nurse practitioners who specialize in therapeutic endoscopy.
