The Washington University General Gastroenterology section provides compassionate, state of the art, and coordinated care for the entire luminal gastrointestinal (GI) tract, including the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and colon. Our comprehensive and team-based approach to the whole spectrum of GI diseases consists of a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including gastroenterologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, advanced practice providers, psychologists, and dietitians. Continuing our long history of research and innovation, we offer cutting-edge treatment and also opportunities to participate in clinical trials. Our providers are experienced educators for our medical students and trainees, and are frequently invited to lecture nationally and internationally.
