Biography
Dr. Xie joined the laboratory of Dr. Nicholas O. Davidson in the Division of Gastroenterology at Washington University in 2000 as a Research Associate. In 2005, she was promoted to Research Instructor. She received her undergraduate Medical Degree (1986) from Tongji Medical University, Wuhan, China and Master in Science degree in Hematology (1991) from Hubei Medical University. Prior to joining the Division, she worked as an Associate Professor in the Division of Hematology, Department of Internal Medicine at the First Affiliated Hospital of Hubei Medical University.
Research Interests
Dr. Xie’s research interests focus on intestinal, hepatic and biliary lipid transport, and the local and systemic effects of altering lipid transport in these organs by using different knockout murine models.
